Iryss

Iryss (formerly known as Stoney Dubs) are from Newcastle, Australia. Consisting of 3 members- Samuel Brown (Guitar, Vocals) Anthea Dracoulis (Drums) and Kye Johnson (Bass Guitar). They are known amongst the local music community for their psych- heavy, yet melodic grooves and sound. Having won the 2024 University of Newcastle band competition, they recieved recording time at sawtooth studios, and decided to record and change their direction completely from jazz chord influenced pop rock, to a much heavier and more energetic sound, resulting in their 2 new singles “None to spare” and “Eventually”.
